  1. 1) Fleetwood Mac is your favorite band of all time. 2) You know the whole history of the band. 3). You are this upset about Lindsey being out of the band. 4) You realize that no one can replace Lindsey Buckingham. Therefore ….Will you be my new best friend ? Lol. I feel like I'm listening to myself talk, as I watch this video. Here's my take: Fleetwood Mac is sadly over. There is no way in hell that I will go see this lineup. I think that Lindsey (though he can be a douche at times) is almost certainly in the right here. Stevie is the problem here. This whole situation is so dumb: the original 5 should have put differences aside, done a 2018-2019 farewell tour, made truckloads of cash, and called it a day. They would have put the legacy to rest on the explosive bright note that it deserves. Instead, they're being ridiculous continuing with "replacements" at this late point in the game, and ohhh this sucks royally .

  2. AND THIS IS THEIR FINAL TOUR…THEIR ONE AND ONLY FAREWELL TOUR…WHICH HAS TO BE THEIR BEST TOUR EVER…NO DO OVERS….I WANT TO HEAR FROM LINDSEY!!! CAUSE LEAVING A BAND IS ONE THING…BUT FIRED!!! REGARDLESS, THIS BAND HAS OVER COME EVERY DRAMA YOU CAN IMAGINE….ADDICTIONS, DIVORCES, BREAKING UP,….SO WHAT IS NEW HERE??? MAJORITY OF LEAD SINGERS AND GENIUSES GUITAR PLAYERS HAVE BIG EGOS…IT ISN'T NEW NEWS…S..T!! I DO KNOW ONE THING, THE ARENAS WILL NOT BE SOLD OUT LIKE BEFORE…FANS ARE LIVID, CONFUSED…AND EXTREMELY UPSET AT THE OTHERS
THIS IS THEIR LEGACY…AM TALKING TO YOU MICK, YOUR LEGACY…IS THIS HOW YOU WANT FWM TO BE REMEMBERED ON THEIRS AND YOUR FINAL AND LAST TOUR???
I HAVE BEEN IN LOVE WITH THIS BAND SINCE I FIRST SAW THEM ON THEIR RUMOURS TOUR…HAVE BEEN LUCKY TO SEE THEM MANY TIMES…AND STEVIE TOO. I AM PRAYING SOCIAL MEDIA WILL GO CRAZY WITH THIS AND THEY WILL COME TO THEIR DAMN SENSES… YOU PROFESS TO LOVE AND SO APPRECIATE YOUR FANS SO MUCH…WELL WHAT THE HELL?? NO DISS TO MIKE AND WHATS HIS NAME…HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM AT ALL….NOW YOU GUYS , FWM, HAVE WEATHERED MORE S..T THAN ANYONE…AND IT COMES DOWN TO THIS…YOU'VE MANAGED TO ALWAYS PUT WHATS HAPPENED IN THE PAST AND LEAVE IT THERE WHERE IT BELONGS, AND OVER THE YRS HAVE MATURED TO KNOW NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE HAS THE POWERHOUSE, MYSTICAL ENERGY EXCEPT WITH ALL FIVE OF YOU ON THE WORLD STAGE…NOW DAMMIT FIGURE IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. This is perfect. I wish Fleetwood Mac themselves would see your vid. They know the old fans are going to complain, but maybe seeing a younger fan's take on the situation would at least make them stop and think about what they're doing. Regardless, great job!

  4. Mark my words, that skank Stevie will gradually replace each member of the Mack with ex Heartbreakers, starting with Christine, then John, then its just a matter of seeing who lives longer Mick or Stevie

  5. I feel your pain. I got into them in 1987, right when Lindsey left and Burnette/Vito came in. As a new fan, I didn't have the emotional connection to the members quite yet, so I had problem when the new guys stepped in. But yeah, the dream was always to see the Rumours line-up together. I didn't get to go to The Dance tour, but was lucky enough to finally get to see them together in 2015. So while I can at least cross that off my bucket list, its something you may not get the chance to do. They are old enough that they aren't going to have years to work things out/get back together like they've done in the past. Kind of wish they had just let the band go at this point than deal with new players.

  6. As being almost as old as the current band members I can't say that I feel your pain because losing extremely talented musicians and writers has been a constant feature of Fleetwood Mac. Peter Green, the founder of the band was an extraordinary blues and rock guitarist, Danny Kirwin, also an amazing guitarist and writer, and Bob Welsh, who became the defacto leader of the band all left for various reasons. I fully realize that the Buckingham/Nicks line-up was the most commercially successful and Buckingham leaving is a big blow to the fans but as someone who appreciated the prior lineups I'm actually heartened by the band's announcement that they will perform deep cuts which I hope means songs from their pre-1975 days. Listen to some older Christine McVie songs and I think you'll be impressed. Hiring Neil Finn is great news as he is a wonderful singer. Yes, I know you love Lindsay, but apparently the band just can't deal with him anymore. That happens in bands. But give the new lineup a chance. Listen to some of the old albums and I'm willing to bet that you'll be amazed.

  7. If you like Zeppelin – go check out a new, young band from Detroit called 'Greta Van Fleet'! They're about your age – early 20's & amazing, they are bringing back classic rock with a fresh new enthusiasm!! And…they're pretty cute too:)

  8. Lindsey has wanted to be a solo artist since the early 80's. He only gets back with Fleetwood Mac when he runs out of money. He hasn't shared their musical vision since the 70's ended. They let him do the TUSK album under the Fleetwood Mac name….but it was largely his album and his vision. A vision the rest of them did not share, even back then…..but that's when the "solo" bug bit him.

  9. Fleetwood Mac is done!!! Shocked!! why would Stevie do this. As great as she is and an awesome talented performer, does she forget Lindsey would NOT join the band unless his girlfriend could as well. Hello STEVIE. Why now? All those intimate moments on stage, and the true happiness in your eyes when you looked into his. Truly a sad sad moment in the history of FLEETWOOD MAC.

  10. You sound like the way I felt in '87, when I was 16 and won a ticket and free travel to their concert in Chapel Hill, NC. I was so excited because they had been my favorite band for a while so, you can guess how I felt when I got to the concert only to see not just one, but TWO other guitar players on stage! You can't leave out Rick Vito from their history. Rick was a fan of Fleetwood Mac from the early days with Peter Green, when they played blues. I did get to see them when they reunited a decade later. I also got to see Lindsey in a very tiny club in Washington DC, The Bayou (which is gone now). I saw the brief incarnation of the Mac with Billy, Bekka Bramlet and Dave Mason on a 70's tour w/ REO Speedwagon & others. Bekka blew me away and they went on to become The Zoo with different guitarists. Check out more of the history and music from all the different lineups. It will put things into perspective, all the ever changing members. Fleetwood Mac at it's core, is Mick and John. If Mick wants to tour, he will find the people to make it work. He has a knack for finding talent and he has been around the block many times and would not put up with unnecessary BS from any one member at the expense of the rest of the band. I love Lindsey as a musician and having dealt with difficult musicians myself, I can understand a lot better now, how these things go. If the dynamics are not good, it's nothing you want to pay to go see no matter who it is. I advise you to give it a chance and you might just be surprised and end up by a twist of fate, finding new favorites you were not aware of…who are not quite so old, lol. You're adorable! Chin up. Like Mick's favorite quote by Shakespeare: "If music be the food of life, then play on." That is the name of one of their albums btw. Check it out.

  11. Though I'm bummed, I'm not surprised. It seems to be the thing a lot of vintage bands are firing one of the most important members. 1st, Styx fires Dennis DeYoung. Then, Grand Funk fires Mark Farner. Then, the Eagles fire Don Felder. Then Yes fires Jon Anderson. I believe Steve Perry quit so I didn't include him. Now, Fleetwood Mac fires their greatest hit maker, Lindsey Buckingham. I hope they get along with his replacements. Don't expect the fans to be as understanding.

  12. Hey EVERYONE….!!!! Get this, since this news broke, I've been trying to pull up FWM official site..
    however…getting error message…"Technical Difficulties"…coincidence…hummmm??!!

  13. Put Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer, and Danny Kirwan back in. There are all half-baked, but they were a much better live band. I have nothing against the pop Fleetwood as opposed to the blues Fleetwood. If you don't like musical chairs, listen to Taylor Swift.

  14. He deserved better than this from the Mac. Like someone else said try Marc Bolan. He was fantastic as well as extremely beautiful x

  15. You people making up bs about why this went down need to get a life and stop making up bs regarding things you don't know anything about. None of us do. Maybe we'll find out the truth one day who knows.
But for the love of god stop making up stories.

  16. I'm a bit sentimental about the Bob Welch era. He was on 5 or 6 of their albums as their frontman and nobody knows it.

  17. i like your take about manning up and honoring rock and roll, putting aside the drama and celebrating they're all still ALIVE!!

  18. Even though I'm a bit upset about lindsey not being in the band anymore but I'm excited to see what the new guys bring to the table and I can see why you might be upset that lindsey was fired but to say it's insulting to replace him I don't think it's insulting because he's not an original member and there might be people who were "insulted" that Peter green, Jeremy Spencer, and bob welch were replaced but hey to each their own I guess

  19. If any are interested, since I am unable to access FWM site, to leave a message…I wrote a message, fairly long…on their YT page. who knows if any of band will see it,, but I do know who ever manages their YT channel will see it!!!

  20. If this is really their farewell tour they Gould have kept the same line-up ! They have put up with each other for over 40 years surely they could have stuck it out for a few more months !

  21. More than sorry to hear this ,they all complimented one another so well ,but we really don't know why,so for now we just have to wait and see.Castaway Dreams ,Lindsay had a change in plans

  22. I understand your being upset about Lindsey Buckingham leaving the group. As a longtime fan of Fleetwood Mac, even at the beginning, with founding member, Peter Green. in the sixties, I've found it uncomfortable watching Lindsey with Stevie for quite a while. When people get to be our age, it's amazing that they can still perform music that they wrote, recorded, & performed for over 40 years.I think, if you read the new biography of Stevie, which, apparently, she gave the ok to do, you may understand a bit more why this has happened. Fortunately, there is a plethora of videos to enjoy…too many gone, but at least Lindsey is still alive!

  23. It wasn't just Billy Burnett that replaced Lindsey Buckingham….there was also Rick Vito, who also played guitar. I somehow think it'll always take two (the other new member is Neil Finn, from Split Enz and Crowded House) people to replace Lindsey.

  24. Let me start by saying I like Lindsey Buckingham. I think he has one of the most original styles of playing guitar. He's one of few guitarists that you can recognize just be hearing him play.

I don't see this as the band trying to replace Lindsey as much as it's the band replacing their guitarist in general. Mike Campbell is a great choice, so is Neil Finn. And no, it doesn't necessarily take two guitarists to replace Lindsey. Maybe they just always wanted to have two guitarists in the band & Lindsey said "Not while I'm around". Who knows?

Speaking of who knows, no one knows what happened between Lindsey and the band. If we knew maybe we would have done the same thing. Besides, it's Mick's band, not Lindsey's, no matter what he brought to the group. Either way, it doesn't matter. It's 2018, not 1979. Let the band move on for whatever reasons to the next incarnation of the Mac. Every band that has different members throughout it's history has that magic lineup. Doesn't mean they always end with that lineup.

  25. Great to see a young person into our era of music I was 13 when rumours came out and still love it…oh by the way Neil Finn is the other player

  26. there's a jackass here called "The Real Music Observer" who thinks he's got it all figured out. Calls Lindsey a "one trick pony" and thinks Mac can carry on without him without skipping a beat. WRONG. Look how well that worked out for them the last time they did that. Behind the Mask was a horrible flop, ticket sales plummeted to the point they had to cut the tour short. Not to mention the songs on that album were horrible.
Anyway, I'd never pay to see a Fleetwood Mac tribute band without Lindsey Buckingham. He's the heart and soul of the band, and this is nothing more than a money grab moment from slimeball Irving Azoff and LiveNation to keep more of the profits. When the truth comes out we'll see that Lindsey was forced out, because this music Nazi Azoff has more or less destroyed every band he's touched from The Eagles to Steely Dan, to Chicago to Journey… as long as the machine and brand is padding his wallet that is how he makes his decisions.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR FANS AND BOYCOTT ANY FURTHER CONCERTS OR ALBUMS FROM FLEETWOOD MAC.
This madness needs to end from LiveNation !!
